Overall Beauty Review & Giveaway

Ah yes, another mineral makeup that I REALLY love! :) This time, I am introducing you guys to Overall Beauty.com!

Overall Beauty offers quality beauty products at prices we all can afford! There are so many catagories on their site, it would take me all day to put them all on this post! They offer everything you can imagine to give your body, head to toe, the love it deserves! They even offer cute things for you kiddos!

I recieved 6 mineral eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush, and a makeup bag to review. Here are the colors:

I absolutly LOVE the colors! They are so vibrant and they stand out more than anything else I own! All of them shimmer, which I love. I tend to lean toward the shimmery eyeshadows. Making your eyes 'pop', I think, is the best thing you can do. And, with these eyeshadows, it will definetly make your eyes 'pop'!

The eyeshadows go on beautifully! And with the brush she sent me, it makes it go on that much easier! I also love that they come in jars. I've come to find that I like the jars a lot better than the solids. My favorite colors were the Ion and the Pink Magic. The Ion was really blod! I love to use blue on the outside corners of my eyes. Since I have blue eyes, it makes them stand out. And the Pink Magic was also metalic or something. It seemed to give off 2 colors when you put it on.

The makeup bag I recieved was specially made for me by Little Worm! It is soooo cute! It's got my favorite, partiotic theme! Plus, it has glitter in the fabric! BLING! :) She makes lots of goodies including, pot holders, purses and bags, and table runners. Please go check out her shop when you get the chance!

e.l.f. Review & Giveaway

e.l.f., eyes lips face, is a great company! They have a 'ginormous' line of beauty products. If you want to get beautified, this is your one stop shop! There is something at e.l.f. for just about every part of your body!

Eyes- Eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, concealer & primers, eyebrows, false eyelashes, tools, sets, brushes.
Lips- Gloss, lipstick, lipliner, lip treatments, brushes, sets.
Face- Foundation, concealer, powder, blushes, bronzers, brushes, cleansers, primer, shimmer, tinted moisturizer, tools

They even sell body lotions and hand soaps! Like I said, there is something for almost everything!

When I learned that I was going to have the privilege to review for e.l.f., I was estatic! When the package finally arrived, I was even more excited! Here is what I was greeted with when I opened my bundle of goodies!:

Forget costly Collagen injections, or those painfully stinging glosses, stimulate your senses to a refreshed full perfect pout with e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze! e.l.f. proudly presents a revolutionary lip plumper, infusing natural ingredients that awaken your senses for fresh, volume enhanced, and moisturized lips. This dual sided Plumping Lip Glaze has a tinted color for a subtle plump or a clear gloss that power plumps your lips, use together and instantly feel the lip enlarging effects!

Oooo, these are AWESOME! They really work! They make your lips full and plump! You put the clear glaze on first. The package says it shocks your lip for instant fullness. Yeah, it's not lying! When I put it on the first time, it shocked me. It started tingling. Almost like it was medicated. Once the initial shock wore off, I noticed that my lips felt bigger. I put on the tinted glaze which magnifies new lips contour and BAM, I had a brand new set of lips! I'm impressed with this product and will continue to use it!

Nail Polish- Punk Puple, Fire Coral, and Sunset

This color-lock formula with chip resistant shield gives long lasting nail color with high shine. The aerodynamic bristle design glides color on flawlessly, while the quick dry formula gives perfect application every time. Key nutrients give nails that natural shine, infused with Vitamin E for stronger, healthier nails.

Our formula is FREE of: Toluene, Formaldehyde, and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP). Net Wt: .35oz (10ml)

I love nail polish. I don't paint my fingernails too often, but during the warm months, you wont catch me without polish on my toes! I think it's one of the most girly things you can do to yourself! I love that they are chip resistant! I'm always on the go, and always hitting things. Stubbing toes, washing dishes..you know how being a mom is! It' nice to not have to stop daily and repaint nails. Or, constantly hide them so people can't see how bad they look. The fact that they are infused with Vitamin E for stronger nails is just one more plus and I'm going to gush over! Please, stop me when you just can't stand the excitment anymore! OK, I"LL STOP!.....Haha, NOT! I have more goodies to talk about! :)

Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.

Adding definition to your face does more than you know! To me, it give you more of a high fashion look. Blush can make you glow! Who wouldn't want to glow!?  This product goes on easy and blends very well. I have problems with blending blushes, but this blush blends nicely. The bronzer also does a great job. At first I thought it was going to be too dark, but that turned out to be wrong. It blended well and gave me the perfect amount of depth! When I wear this duo, I have a healthy, natural glow!

Lip Stain- Birthday Suit

Achieve full coverage that lasts for hours with this long-wear formula. Enjoy silky matte color or layer on the moisturizing clear gloss for a shiny look. With key Vitamins A & E your lips stay smooth all day long.

I enjoyed this as well. Ok, so yeah, I loved it all! :) The lip stain is nice because you don't have to keep reapplying. One less thing that you have to carry around in your purse! The color is nice. Very subtle. I don't wear lipstick, just glosses, so the subtle color is great for me!

e.l.f.’s philosophy is that beauty comes from within and it's our goal to enable every woman to look and feel her personal best through the perfect blend of both the inner and outer person. With that goal in mind, e.l.f. cosmetics was born – a line of simple, luxurious, problem-solution tools that allow you to showcase and believe in your unique, personal beauty. Our cosmetics are designed to improve and accentuate the individual, not hide her away.

e.l.f. gets the thumbs up from me, and I totally recommend the company! :)

Etsy Shop: Sarah's Treasures Review & Giveaway

Once again, I bring you another wonderful Etsy shop! Sarah's Treasures! Sarah offers a huge line of mineral makeup. Mineral makeup is so much better for your skin! I really enjoy mineral makeup! Most people don't buy mineral makeup because they don't know about it. I have learned that there are so many benefits to it, and have totally switched over. Sarah has Lip Balm, foundation, and shadows and eyeliners.

I was sent a Mineral Bronzer (dark) and the Buttercream lip balm for review. I loved that both products had Sarah's label on them. That way, when I run out, I know where they came from and can easily go back and buy more!

The Buttercream lip balm was great! On the listing in her shop it says "Enjoy the Icing on Your Birthday Cake Any Day of the Year". So, I was unsure on how I would like it. I opened it, slapped some one, and was pleasantly surprised! It smelled really good, but not overly sweet. I was afraid that it was going to taste sweet as well, but it didn't. I don't like it when lip balms are sweet. The part that I really liked it that even though it's a lip balm, and it goes on like a lip balm, it looks like a lip gloss. It leaves a nice sheen on your lips without the stickiness of lip gloss!

The Mineral Bronzer was really nice too! I was thinking that it might be too dark since I have such fair skin. Once I put it on I realized that it worked very well with my freckles! It gave me a nice sunkissed look. I didn't even feel like I was wearing it. It's very light on your skin, but still gives you a nice look. I'm very pleased!

ME: Where are you from and a little about yourself?

Sarah: I am from Lebanon, Maine (about halfway between Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME and I have been crafting pretty much my whole life. I started making lip balms a few years ago when I found a few people writing about making their own on Craftster. I am a bit newer to mineral makeup but I really like the idea of more natural cosmetic products. I also really hate the idea of putting something on my skin that is derived from the same products I put in my car.

ME: When did you start making the items in your shop?

Sarah: I still have quite a few things that I need to add to my shop, but I started making jewelry (one of those upcoming categories) back when I was in high school. I started making journals, lip balms and mineral makeup a few years ago.

ME: How did you decide the name for your shop?

Sarah: The name for my job just came to me and it stuck. Right now I'm considering rebranding and possibly changing the name.

ME: What is your favorite thing about owning your shop and being a seller?

Sarah: The thing that I enjoy most about being a seller and owning my own shop is the ego boost I get when I have a customer tell me that my product is better than what they had been using or write to me saying they are really excited about their purchase and will be back again.

ME: What inspires you to create such beautiful pieces?

Sarah: As far as inspiration, I created my lip balms to fill a need. My makeup and journals are more inspired by what I see in magazines and on TV.

ME: What is your favorite item in your shop and why?

Sarah: Right now my favorite item is my light colored bronzer. I have very light skin and I put this over my foundation and it gives me a hint of color and shimmer without looking at all fake.

ME: Is there anything new you plan to add to your shop?

Sarah: I'm in the process of adding journals and jewelry to my shop. I'm also planning to add at least 15 more lip balm flavors by the fall.

ME: Are there any other places on the net that we can find you?

Sarah: I have a blog where I post a lot about my crafting activity as well as my graphic design and even some personal post at http://sarahmerchant.wordpress.com.

Thank you so much for the wonderful interview Sarah! I really enjoyed getting to know about you and Sarah's Treasures! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see more from you!

Mineral Basics Review & Giveaway

Through high school, I never really wore makeup. I just didn't care back then. But, now that I've gotten older, I love putting it on. I love to see my face transform from ordinary to extrodinary. Haha, that sounds corny, but I mean it! Oh, and let me tell you, all makeup IS NOT created equal!

In steps Mineral Basics. They create their makeup for people who have skin issues like acne, rosacea, large pores, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and tone, dark under-eye circles and more. I'm guessing I would fal in there with slight acne (from time to time), and uneveness. I have freckles, so yeah, it's uneven. :)

A little from Mineral Basics:
We use only natural, healthy ingredients in our products…never synthetic dyes, fragrances, chemicals, surfactants, mineral oil, preservatives or other such unnecessary ingredients. We believe in taking care of our bodies and the environment. We began our mineral makeup company in hopes to spread natural, clean products to others. In a world where most companies are just out to make a profit,at the expense of your health and well being, we choose to offer high-quality products, commitment to excellent service, and honesty in all we do.

Somthing that will make you look pretty, is 'green', AND good for you? Wow! That's really nice!

I was sent 15 samples. Everything from multi-use colors to illuminating concealer to concealers to blush to finishing dust. I was amazed. The colors were wonderful! There was something 'out there' like

"Secret-Potion"

And something very subtle, like

"Mer-Tresses"

I used a little bit of everything. I couldn't complain. I didn't feel like I was wearing a lot of makeup, and it never bothered my skin. They all went on really easy too. My favorite was the Illuminating Concealer. It evened out my eyes and gave them a really pretty glow. Since I only got a 'sample' of that, I think I will probably order some more! I started reading about it, and it's made using real crushed pearls! I've never heard of anything like that! Read HERE to learn more about it and the other benefits it offers!

According to the Mineral Basics website, some mineral makeup companies actually include a nasty little non-essential ingredient called bismuth oxychloride, which irritates bare skin and causes many people to break out. Uh-huh, I told you all makeups weren't created equal! Go HERE to learn some more differences.

I am so overly-impressed with Mineral Basics. Who knew that makeup was so complex, and that it could be so good for your skin!?

~Win It~
Want some of this wonderful makeup? One(1) of my readers is going to win 15 samples of Mineral Basics! You can choose your own samples from HERE, or do what I did and let them pick for you!

Go to Mineral Basics, and leave me a comment telling something you learned/liked about the company! Please be sure to leave your email address in the first entry, or that it's visible on your profile.
