I was so happy when I learned I was going to be reviewing for USANA! USANA Health Sciences is one of America’s leading companies in the field of health and nutrition. USANA helps improve the lives of thousands of people around the world in two ways:

For my review, I decided on the  Sensé™ Prelude 5 Kit. It  is a 5-day introductory sample to the Sensé Basics 3-step program for healthier skin and includes a bonus sample of Perfecting Essence.

My thoughts:

I have really enjoyed using the kit! My face always feels so wonderful! It has made it brighter and younger feeling! Almost makes me feel like a teenager again. The whole kit is very mild and did not bother my face at all. I have sensitive skin, so it was nice to put something on that didn't burn, or dry out my skin. Step 3 really helped with that. I also loved using the toner! Even though I had just washed my face in step 1, using the toner on a cotton ball in step 2, I could SEE the dirt coming off onto the cotton ball! Talk about a deep clean! The last thing that I really enjoyed was the smell! It's not too overwhelming, yet really clean smelling. Almost like a citrus soap. The citrus smell is very faint. I love it! Overall, great product! I'm looking forward to trying other product from USANA now!

During the summer, my husband and I (the boys spend the summer with their dad :( ) spend the majority of our time at the lake. We own 2 jetskiis and love being on the water. Which means I spend a lot of time in a bikini. Well, winter has just come to an end and summer is creeping up. I have fair skin and my tan from last year has faded. In other words, I am now as white as a ghost...well, WAS as white as a ghost.

I had the opportunity to try Sun Sauce! I was sent a 12oz. bottle of their Sunless Lotion.

About the product:

Now you can enjoy a dark rich Tan without a need for UV light. This lotion will allow you to choose the intensity of your tan and to maintain the color level you have chosen. Applies easily and delivers exceptional results when used as directed. This is not a bronzer or a dye. Natural tan begins developing in 2 to 3 hours. If a darker tan is desired, reapply 3 to 4 hours after initial application.

I put in on yesterday when I got out of the shower. A little over an hour later, I was starting to see the color. By the time I woke up this morning, I could see a huge difference! The color it leaves is pretty natural looking. Not too orange like other sunless tanning products. The directions say to apply evenly over body and face, use sparingly on heels, ankles, knees and elbows. I did my best to make sure it was even. I had very little steaking. The only place I had a little streaking was on the back side of one of my arms. I must not have rubbed it around enough. The only other place I had an issue with was on one of my ankles. I tried to keep it off of my ankles, due to the directions telling me to, but I got some on there. Next time I'll be sure to be a little more careful.

Due to my fair skin, this is a great alternative for me. My family has a history of skin cancer (which I am starting to develope), so sunless tanning is the way I need to go. Sun Sauce smells nice, and works great. I would definitely recommend the product!

ybf Skincare Review

Darrell (from ybf) and I had a battle with the mail trying to get the products to me! Some how they got lost, so he turned to FedEx. Once that happened, it got here fast! And Darrell was so nice about the whole thing. Always adding in little things to make conversation. Something you don't usually get when talking to contacts for reviews.

When the package arrived, my mom was here and we were both eager to see what goodies were in the package. In the package were the 2 main products: prep and defend. And since the mail got all messed up and it took a while to get here, Darrell also threw in their quench lip balm. Here is what I though about all the products:

PREP
Brightening Exfoliant

While Prep's microdermabrasion crystals polish, skin brightening alpha arbutin and niacin help balance uneven pigmentation for a refreshed look and more rested appearance.


Smoothes & Refines
Prep uses vitamins, soothing extracts and moisture binding botanicals to reduce inflammation, balance skin, improve overall tone and suppleness and discourage future blemishes. Prep is also an excellent treatment for men looking to improve the quality of their shaves.


Reduces Wrinkles
Peptides and antioxidants are the stars in Prep, going to work on existing wrinkles while helping to avoid the formation of new ones. Prep is especially effective at reducing wrinkles around the chin, nose and mouth as well as lines across the forehead.

Wow. This stuff is great. Blackheads are wiped away, and my face feels really nice! My face has cleared up and brightened up as well. It doesn't hurt that it smells nice too!

DEFEND
Wrinkle Prevention

Defend is a brilliantly crafted and effective formula with high percentages of ingredients that help you face the daily onslaught of damaging UV, irritants and drying environmental factors. Recently updated, Defend now contains the collagen protecting peptide, Syn-Coll as well as the addition of a new favorite in antioxidant protection, Lipochroman-6.


Balances Oil & Shine
Shiny skin isn't too often a welcome sight. On the other hand, many anti-shine products go a bit far and either make your face look chalky and drab or coated and caked. Defend feels great and does a great job of absorbing excess oil throughout the day, keeping your skin balanced and natural-looking. An added benefit to the oil absorbers in Defend is diffusion of light which softens the look of fine lines.


Hydrates & Tones

I have fair skin. I burn easily, therefore, I am already starting to get little wrinkles at 26. Defend is great for me because it helps with the wrinkles, but also keeps my skin balanced. I'm oily in some places and dry in others. With defend, it keeps all areas happy! :)

QUENCH
Heal

Do away with the look of lips that are winter-worn or aged-looking. Vitamin E, meadowfoam and blueberry seed oils help bring back lip's suppleness so you're ready for that holiday kiss!


Refresh

I am picky about lip stuff. For chapped lips, the only thing I use is Carmex. But, now that I've tried quench, I'm adding it to my trusted list. It gives the tingly feeling when you put it on. That's how I know it's working. I love that feeling, and most lip balms don't have it. I got 5 samples of it. My mom took one home with her. She fell in love with it saying 'this is really good stuff!'

Overall, I am very pleased with ybf! They have nice products, nice packaging, and nice employees! Can't say that I have one bad work to say about them!
