I'm Baaack!

Wow! It has been about a year and a half since I last blogged! To all of those who are still following, thank you very much for sticking with me! My apologies for being gone for so long. Being a military wife is very demanding and some things just have to come first. My blog had to take a backseat due to kids in school and a BIG move!

Last I had spoken to you guys, I was in Alabama. Now...Cape Cod Massachusetts! It is a completely different world up here! This is our first time ever living out of the south. At the end of this month, it will be a year that we've been here. It has been an adjustment! I miss the south, but fully embrace a new adventure!

We have made some really good friends here and my boys have TONS of friends to play with. We are back in military housing. It's nice being back in military housing because you don't have to worry about paying rent and utilities. Since we are up north now, we have a basement. It took us a while to get used to that! Before moving in here, I had never been in a basement. Our house doesn't have a finished basement, but we have built a few rooms, and made it look nice.

One of the best things about being here is that there is so much to see and do! The first thing we did when we got here was take a trip to Coast Guard Beach. My dad and sister were visiting at the time and it was all of our first time seeing a northern beach. Totally different from the Gulf of Mexico! Very pretty, but there was no way you were getting me in that water!!  Brrr!

Next, we went to Plymouth Plantation, the Mayflower II, and Plymouth Rock. If you are ever up in this area and like to learn about history, I highly recommend going! I've already been to the plantation and the Mayflower twice and Plymouth Rock 3 times! You learn so much while there. You learn the truth about what really happened when the Mayflower landed.

One more activity we've done that I want to share with you is whale watching! By far, the most awesome thing I have ever done! I've been twice already! I wasn't sure what to expect going out there. I figured the whales would be off in the distance and not many of them. Boy was I wrong! They are right next to the boat, and you can look out as far as the eye can see and see mist everywhere from the blowholes!

I hope to share many more New England adventure with y'all! I'm sure there will be many more to come. We still have 3 more years here. Also, I am working on getting some reviews and giveaways going. It's been rough getting started again because my stats are so low from no visitors. I have faith though. Please be patient and stick with me!

Don't forget to thank a member of our MILITARY!
