If you have boys living in your house like I do, then you know how dirty the bathroom gets! I have a 4 and 5 year old boy, who for obvious reasons have their own bathroom. Let's just say that little boys don't have the best aim. They just stand there, looking into the mirror, making faces at themselves. Then, I'm in the background saying, "Aim for the hole in the potty! Watch what you're doing!". Yeah, lots of fun. Cleaning that bathroom is always a chore. Not to mention the toothpaste all over the sink and counter. I've used a lot of different cleaners, and they all seem to leave a little hint of urine in the air. Not good! Sunday is my cleaning day and yesterday I got my
Ecover products delivered for review. Perfect timing! I recieved a bottle of
bathroom cleaner, and a bottle of
toilet bowl cleaner.
Bathroom Cleaner:
1. Tough on bathroom grime
2. Chrome friendly
3. Fresh plant based fragrance
Used for showers, tile, taps, tubs, & sinks! I used it for everything in my bathroom. Even on the floor! It cleaned so well and left the bathroom smelling wonderful. To me, it had a citrus smell. Completely eliminated the urine smell! It's made from plant and mineral based ingredients and it's safe for septic tanks! I have a septic tank, so that's wonderful for me! Plus, a little bit goes a long way. I used 3 sprays for the whole sink and counter.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner:
1. Triple action: cleans, decalcifies, and freshens
2. Removes tough stains
3. Leaves bowl sanitary
This is also plant and mineral based and safe for septic tanks. Plus, it's safe for all river and marine life! I put it in my toilet and let it sit while I cleaned the sink. There has been a ring in the toilet since we moved in because this house used to have well water. Now, it didn't completely remove the ring, but it did lighten it. Once I scrubbed it with the brush, the water in the toilet was visibly dirty! Wow, I didn't think it was that dirty, being that I clean it A LOT! It did a great job, and I think it can stand up to couple little boys! :)
Ecover has more than just bathroom cleaners. They offer products for
dishwashing,
laundry,
household,
personal care, and even products for your
car and boat! Ecover produces their washing and cleaning products in an ecological, economic and socially responsible way in a unique ecological factory.
My overall impression was good. I loved the smell and I loved the way it worked. I didn't see any downfalls as of yet. One thing I would like to see from the company is biodegradable wipes for the bathroom and/or kitchen. I like to use wipes when it comes to cleaning the outside of the toilet. Using a wash cloth/paper towel just doesn't cut it for me.
~Win it~
Ecover is offering one of my readers the chance to win the bathroom cleaner and toilet bowl cleaner that I reviewed. Plus, they are going to throw in a reusable grocery bag!
