Having summer parties and BBQ's are the greatest! Good friends and good times! Along with hosting parties, you need to have your house/backyard looking nice! Silly Mama Quilts can help with that!

Brooke, the owner of the Etsy shop contacted me about being a part of my Summer in the South event. I am so happy that she did! Her shop is filled with her very creative, very beautiful, work! She offers Lap Quilts, Table Runners, Bags and Purses, and Baby Quilts! Everything in her shop is handcrafted by Brooke with love!

For my review, she sent me the Singing the Blues table runner! About the runner: This table runner in blues and greens would be a fresh addition to your indoor or outdoor decor. It measures 13 x 47 1/2. I used Hobbs 80/20 for batting and meandering and curvy lines for quilting. The print on the other side has children fishing which makes this runner reversible.



I 100% LOVE this runner! I have never used a table runner before. After putting it on my table and seeing that way it looks, there is no way that I'm taking it off! Any guest that has come over to my house has commented on it! Everybody thinks it beautiful and is thinking about ordering one themselves! It adds a very nice touch to the table. Instead of the table sitting there looking bare, it has 'pop'! 


The work on the runner is phenomenal! The little details are wonderful! It is very well made and doesn't look cheap what-so-ever! There is no way that you could buy something like this at the store! The colors are vibrant, and if I ever wanted a change, all I would have to do is flip it over since it's reversible! It's like I actually have two runners instead of one!


Brooke offers free shipping on all items! Who doesn't love free shipping!? She also has a sale going on right now. It's the 'Christmas in July Sale'! She is offering 10% off EVERYTHING in her shop! Summer in the South: Ban T-Shirts Review

Looking for some good summer t-shirts, I ran across Ban T-Shirts. Ban T-shirts is a website with left-wing, liberal, socialist, green, progressive and libertarian credentials. You'll find T-shirts that will show people where you stand on issues such as war and the environment. Express yourself with these T-shirts and meet other like-minded people - these political T-shirts get people talking! They sell shirts that are about our right to free speech and to criticise what we think is wrong. Their shirts are for those that understand that patriotism and democracy do not mean blind obedience.

For my review, I chose the  'Be Afraid' t-shirt for my husband. It'll take you a few minutes to read it all, but it's great! And it is such the truth. No matter where you go or what you do, there is always going to be something to be afraid of!

I LOVE the way the shirt fits my husband! Most shirts aren't long enough for him, but this one is the perfect length! I've washed it and it still fits the same. I think he is enjoying it too because he's worn it quite a few times! Plus, it's really soft! There is nothing better than a really soft shirt! The lightness of it is also great for the summer heat!

Duncan Carson has made it a point to make sure that his shirts are sweatshop free! He made a decision to print thier designs on American made sweat shop free t-shirts. He believe that it is important to support businesses that pay their workers a decent living wage, and to support the local economy.


You can find Ban T-Shirts on Facebook, Twitter, and their new UK 'mini' site! Also, for every t-shirt that you buy, a tree will be planted. Ban T-shirts makes a donation equivalent to the cost of planting a tree to Trees For The Future for every T-shirt you buy. So get out there and buy a tee, plant a tree!

Once again, I bring you another site overflowing with funny t-shirts! I'm sorry, I just can't help myself! It's summer time, I'm out in the public a lot and I always have the urge to put a smile on someones face! RoadKill T-Shirts is helping me out with that!

For my review, I chose the "I'm far from normal" t-shirt! I LOVE it! My husband is constantly telling me that I'm weird or strange. Haha, I'm just my fathers daughter! Dry humor and strangeness runs in the family! :)

I wore the shirt over to my dads house. My dad saw it and knew right away that it was the absolute truth and then proceeded to say that he needed one too!  Oh what a family I have! :)

The shirt is very comfortable and fits well. I've washed it a few times and it still looks good. I love that it's simple, just black and white. I think that catches peoples eye more.

Come summer time you can never have enough t-shirts! And t-shirts that can make others laugh, for me, is the best way to go. I love to laugh and make others laugh. It's something I got from my very sarcastic dad! NachoMamaTees is another site filled with funny t-shirts!

The shirt I received from NachoMamaTees wasn't a funny shirt, it was more of a replacement shirt. I got the "This is my drinking shirt" t-shirt. My husband has had a shirt that says "this is my party shirt" since before we got together. It is so old and worn out, I knew it was time to retire it. The new shirt looks so much better on him!

He's even had a chance to wear it. It's transfer season in the military. People on my husbands boat are leaving, which means there are going away parties. We went to one a few weekends ago. Good times and good friends. My husband of course wore his shirt. I think it even had some magic in it! One of our good friends loves to drink on the weekends. My husband and I don't drink very often. Well, that night, wearing the shirt, my husband out drank him! He's known him for 5 or 6 years and has never been able to! :)

The shirt fits him very nicely. I've washed it and the color hasn't faded, nor did it shrink. Plus, it is unbelievably soft! Overall I'm very happy with it!

NachoMamaTees have what they call the Mystery t-shirt. The mystery shirt is under $6. You order it and they will send you a random shirt that has been discontinued! I'm seriously thinking about ordering one! All of the shirts are great and you can't beat a shirt that's under $6!
