Etsy Shop: Krysha's Creations Review & Giveaway

I'm always on the lookout for decorations for my boys room. Right now, while they are 4 and 5, is my only chance to decorate how I want. Once they get older there will be posters going up and God knows what else!

The other day I was browsing around Etsy (as usual), and I ran across an awesome shop! Krysha's Creations! Krystyna (such a unique spelling) sells affordable wall art and night lights for kids! Night lights, prints, and cavans print for both boys and girls! If you are a mom with a boy, you know how hard it is to find cute things for boys! Oh, I'm in love with this shop!

The prints are very colorful, and have images on them that is sure to get your childs attention! The night lights are ADORABLE! If you little one is afraid of the dark and can't live with out a night light, these night lights will surely calm them down! Think about how excited they would be if you let them pick one out from the shop, and let them open the package when it arrived!

I recieved 2 night lights for review. I got the Monkey Jungle night light rainforest safari night light for my youngest, and the BOYS SPORTS BASEBALL Night Light Sport light for my oldest. When I took them out of the box and showed them, their eyes went wild! I had never seen their eyes so HUGE! Big smiles! Arms started reaching, hands were grabbing! They were WAY excited! I plugged them both into their bathroom so that they could see them (it's the only dark room during the day). I told them that I was going to plug one into their room right now, and when we move, they will get theirs on their side of the room. They liked that idea, and now are bugging me about hurrying up and move!

I was am so happy with the night lights. For one, they fit my boys perfectly! Juniors nickname is Monkey because when he was little bitty he looked like Curious George! He has monkey EVERYTHING! Isaiah is my baseball player. He can hit a ball like no other! He collects baseballs from everywhere we go. Second, I love that you don't have to turn them on and off! There is a sensor that makes it come on when it gets dark and turn off when it gets light! And third, they don't let off so much light that it would keep them awake. It's just enough light so they will be able to see that there are no monsters in their room!

The Monkey is made of Wood and the night light is plastic. She can also make this monkey more girly by painting a flower in her ear and eye lashes!

ME: Where are you from and a little about yourself?

Krystyna: My name is Krystyna Haskell, born in San Diego, CA. I Lived on Maui for 12 years and now stationed here on base in sunny Florida. We are a military family. As a little girl I always enjoyed reading, drawing (although I wasn't very good at it) and playing teacher. I love making art that is fun and happy for children, and also speaks to the child in a grown-up's heart. I like to celebrate people from diverse cultures, and also art which promotes protection of animals and the environment.



I am currently a stay at home mom enjoying taking care of our 2 amazing daughter's and creating beautiful pieces of art. I am a self-taught artist who has been creating art for the past 6 years in my studio. I love creating things I think are cute and give a feeling of warmth and happiness. I love to craft in many ways, but painting is my favorite so far. I have been painting and drawing since early childhood and I would have it no other way! I am loving what I do and I hope that it shows in my artwork. I enjoy painting whimsical characters, but only have so much wall space - so I decided to start sharing them. I have also created artwork for nonprofit organizations, large and small, promoting equality for women, children and special children's health issues. My works are created with a bit of whimsy, a focus on color and design, and a whole lot of love.

ME: When did you open your Etsy shop?

Krystyna: February 28, 2007

ME: What are some custom things you can do for people?

Krystyna: I specialize in offering affordable kids decor to fit every budget.

I can paint and design any theme a customer wishes or create something special that matches there room theme and room colors.

ME: What's your favorite item in your shop?

Krystyna: I love all of them, but my fav. is: Bumble Bee because it's so darn cute.

ME: How did you decide the name for your shop?

Krystyna: When I was young my nickname was Krysha. I'm also Polish and in Polish "Krysha" means Krystyna.

ME: What is your favorite thing about owning your shop and being a seller?

Krystyna: I love having the time and ability to be a positive influence in the world while enjoying and having quality time with my kids and husband.

ME: What inspires you to create such beautiful pieces?

Krystyna: My 2 beautiful daughter's. They inspire me!

ME: Is there anything new you plan to add to your shop?

Krystyna: This year I’m going to have lots of prints available, matted and in polybags.
